Route of the Amanda Jayne

September 5, 2006 - From St. Martin, we hopped to St. Barts. Then an overnighter to Guadeloupe. From Guadeloupe, we spent one night in Dominica and then went on to Martinique. We stayed there a week, staying at 3 different anchorages. Then on to St. Lucia, St. Vincents and then Carricou, Grenada. From Carricou we went on to St. George's in Grenanda. Time to head north again so......... From Grenada to Peurto Rico, then to Rum Cay, then to Canaveral, Florida. From there to Beaufort, NC, then to Coinjock, NC, then Hampton, Va, next Solemon, VA, and on to Annapolis, MD and finally... Baltimore, where Amanda Jayne will rest for a while. Amanda Jayne will stay here in Baltimore for about 3 months.

April 13, 2006 - Crossed the Mona Passage to Ponce, Puerto Rico, then on to Caja De Muertos, Salinas, Vieques. We left Puerto Rico and finally entered the US Virgins... first stop... St.Thomas. Back and forth to St. John's back to St. Thomas and crossing over to the BVI's. Stayed in the BVI's for about a week and then crossed over to St. Martin.

March 27, 2006 - Staniel Cay to Black Point. Black Point to Farmer's Cay. Farmer's Cay to Georgetown. Georgetown to Long Island. Long Island to Mayaguana. Mayaguana to Turks and Caicos. Then Turks and Caicos to Luperon. From Luperon, Dominican Republic, we headed south to Peurto Rico. We went through the Mona Passage and to the south side of Puerto Rico stopping at Ponce. Then on to the island of Caja De Muertos and then Salinas.

December 29, 2005 - From Miami we hit Bimini, then Chub Cay. After Chub, we went to Nassau and then on to Allan's Cay. From Allan's Cay onto Staniel Cay where we have been for about a week.

December 4, 2005 - After leaving Fernandina Beach, we traveled in the ICW, making stops in St. Augustine, Daytona Beach, Titusville, Melbourne, and Fort Pierce. Then we went offshore to West Palm and Ft. Lauderdale.

November 15, 2005 - After leaving the Chesapeake,we headed down the ICW,making stops in Great Bridge, VA, Coinjock, VA, Belhaven, NC, Oriental, NC and then Beaufort, NC. We stayed there a while and to make up some time... we headed off shore and made tracks. Two overnighters in a row and we are back in Fernandina Beach, FL.

October 17, 2005 - Left Baltimore and headed South to Selby Bay off South River. Then we hit Solomon's Island, Reedville and Deltaville. Now we are in Hampton Flats for 2 nights...then we leave the Chesapeake!!

August 17, 2005 - Fron Annapolis, we sailed north to Baltimore where we found a slip to stay for a month. After that, we will be heading South.

August 10, 2005 - From Deltaville, we hit Reedville, then Solomons Island. Aftes leaving Solomomns, it was 50 more miles and we were in Annapolis Harbor. Stayed for a week.

August 2, 2005 - From Great Bridge, we traveled the last 15 miles to mile marker 0 of the ICW to end up in Portsmouth, VA, the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. We stayed there a few days and traveled north to Deltaville on the Piankatank River and then to Reedville on the Wicomico River.

July 30, 2005 - From Great Bridge, we traveled the last 15 miles of the ICW to mile marker 0 to Norfolk, VA!

July 28, 2005 - After staying 7 days in Charleston, SC, we went back offshore to Winyah Bay where we anchored for the night. From there, we went offshore and came back in at Southport, NC for 2 nights. We took the ICW for about 25 miles to Wrightsville Beach and anchored. From there, we headed back out into the Atlantic to Beaufort, NC where we stayed 5 days. Back up the ICW, we anchored in Belhaven 1 night and Coinjock, NC for 2 nights. On our first night in VA, we tied up at some free docks in Great Bridge between the swing bridge and the locks.

July 11, 2005 - Stayed two days in Fernandina Beach and back offshore to Charleston, SC.

July 7, 2005 - After our stay in Fort Lauderdale, we anchored in the Lake Worth Inlet at West Palm Beach. From there we went offshore to the Fort Pierce Inlet and then down the ICW to Vero Beach. We moored there for the 4th and then went offshore for 250 miles to Fernandina Beach, Florida.

June 29, 2005 - We stayed in Marathon an extra day due to lightning storms. When we finally left Marathon, we anchored at Rodriguez Key, then at Dinner Key in Biscayne Bay for another 3 days. We hit Fort Lauderdale and liked it so much at Las Olas Marina, we stayed 5 days.

June 19, 2005 - We went to Venice, stayed one night, then anchored at Useppe Island where we waited out tropical storm Arlene for 3 days. After the weather got better,we headed to Fort Meyers and moored for a few days. Then we hit Marco Island, Indian Key and Shark River. We got to the East coast on Friday the 17th and stayed in Marathon 3 days.

May 26, 2005 - From Ship Island we stopped in Biloxi, then went on to Dauphin Island. We crossed Mobile Bay then traveled the ICW thru Alabama to Orange Beach. From there, we stopped at Big Lagoon just south of Pensacola, Florida. At this point we abandoned the ICW because of low bridges and sailed in the Gulf to Destin, Florida. After another trip in the Gulf, we are now in Panama City preparing to make a crossing to Clearwater, Florida.

May 15, 2005 - We got out of the ICW in Lafitte, Louisiana and entered the Barataria Waterway. We traveled that to Grand Isle, spent a night there, then cut across the Gulf about 40 miles to Tiger Pass and north to Venice, Louisiana. After that we crossed the Mississippi River and entered Baptiste Collette Pass. We traveled northeast to Breton Sound and Chandeleur Sound into the Mississippi Sound (about 70 miles) to get to Ship Island. We are finally East of the Mississippi! All the little islands around here are beautiful like Ship Island in the picture (white sands and the water is actually starting to turn greenish blue).
